Soweto Gospel Choir

Direct from South Africa, the Soweto Gospel Choir is an awe-inspiring vocal ensemble. Combining western Christian church styles with traditional African forms, the unique African gospel performance uplifts with earthy rhythms, rich harmonies, dancing, drumming and a spirit that expresses South Africa’s great hopes for the future.

Winners of the 2006 Grammy for Best World Music, the Soweto Gospel Choir has performed with the legends Bono, Queen, Peter Gabriel and was a featured guest at Oprah’s 2006-07 New Year’s Eve Celebration in South Africa.
