In 2004, the Single File festival featured over 30 award winning, innovative, and socially relevant theater pieces. This year, the festival features over twenty performers. Single File is dedicated to the presentation of previously performed solo theatre work by local, national, and international artists from a wide cultural spectrum. In doing so, the festival reaches out in collaboration with the Chicago arts and education communities to challenge and entertain Chicago’s diverse urban audience.
The Denver Post hailed Single File as “the largest festival of one man shows in North America” in 2002.
