At its heart, Serenity is more than a pageant; it’s a fundraiser with purpose. Proceeds directly benefit the Serenity Scholarship, a fund established to uplift and empower individuals from marginalized communities, specifically Transgender, Non-Binary, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (TNB-BIPOC), by providing financial support to attend the Chicago Roundup.
Serenity: All Genders, All Glam, One Crown embodies the values of equity and celebration. The pageant is open to performers of all genders, welcoming kings, queens, and royalty beyond the binary to showcase their artistry, creativity, and charisma. Contestants compete in categories ranging from talent to serving looks and lip-syncs that ignite the stage while reminding us that recovery, like drag, thrives on authenticity and joy.
But Serenity is more than just glitter and glam. It’s a movement toward a more inclusive and welcoming sober community, where everyone has a seat at the table and a spotlight on the stage. By supporting the Serenity Scholarship, attendees help reduce financial barriers that often prevent TNB-BIPOC individuals from participating in life-changing recovery events. These scholarships help cover costs of registration, making it possible for more voices to be heard and more lives to be transformed.
