About the Show

Lights Out, Everybody

Horror writer and celebrated radio producer Arch Oboler gained notoriety for his Lights Out series. Not only did the terrifying radio program strike fear into the hearts of its listeners, but Oboler used the midnight timeslot to criticize the rise of fascism in Europe prior to World War II. Now Dream Theatre Company pays tribute to this legend of supernatural fantasy by turning three of his classic stories into a horrifying stage works. Adapted by Chicago playwright Jeremy Menekseoglu, the stories include a disturbed new bride who is pitted against her evil mother-in-law in Momma, It Happened in Paris where a young girl finds herself trapped in a underworld of unspeakable terror, and Murder Castle, which relates the final days of Chicago’s most brutal serial killer.
