Destination Lost

Based on the true story of one woman who was punished because of fear and ignorance surrounding HIV in the early 1990’s, Destination Lost is a poignant look at the shortcomings of a judicial system subject to human emotion. In 1994, 19-year-old Angela Marie Coffel was convicted as a sexually violent predator for engaging in a game of Truth or Dare with a 15-year-old boy. Fear swelled around the HIV Positive Coffel who would go on to spend more time incarcerated than any other sex criminal, including serial pedophiles and rapists. The kind of simple sex-play that goes on among teenagers in backseats every day, in this case, cost one teenager very dearly.
