C U Next Tuesday: The Amy Fisher Story, A Karaoke Musical is an original, irreverent, parody that is loosely based on the true early-1990s popular history of not-so-popular people. On May 19, 1992, Amy Fisher – a misguided Long Island teen – shot Mary Jo Buttafuoco, the wife of her Massapequa (NY) love, Joey Buttafuoco, in an attempt to secure his affections. This scripted-from-improvisation musical reworks such karaoke favorites as “That’s Amore” and “Mambo Italiano” to fit our heroine’s obsessive love story, bringing to life the upper-middle class teen gone horribly wrong.
