About the Show
Blueprint is the kind of improv that keeps audiences AND players on their toes. Each week, a different cast member designs a bold new format and their fellow performers will learn about at the same time as the crowd. Expect the unexpected as we build something completely original, live, right before your eyes.
Past forms have included:
Improvised Severance – guided by two internal “staff members,” three performers are physically out of the room, while three others perform as their innies, and every 5 minutes, the two swapped. Can they make sense of their outies? and versa?
Understudies – In a longform narrative, each player on stage knows that they will eventually understudy another player in the show. The lights change and they have to embody a different player, and each time the lights change, they can select another player to embody.
Overachiever – Three 2-person monoscenes happen on stage, utilizing the same physical space, but taking place in categorically different spaces. They must navigate space atop of and around one another while keeping connection to their partner.
Improvised Heist – Ocean’s Eleven, eat your heart out! Our players hit the major plot points of a heist and improvise their way through – initial idea, building the team, planning the heist, executing, and the aftermath
