Beat the Jester Productions presents the world premiere play Beat the Jester by Chicago playwright Gary Slezak. Set in a bar during the Southside St. Patrick’s Day parade, this dark comedy mixes Chicago politics with the supernatural. The play follows an alderman’s son who has seen the new face of God in a Chicago ward that has everything a god could want – sex, murder, racism, fraud and insanity. Richard Shavzin directs.
Previews on 6/9, 6/10 and 6/11 at 8 PM; no show on 7/4.
