First Folio Shakespeare Festival presents the second show in its eighth summer season of Shakespeare-under-the -Stars. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is directed by Michael Goldberg. Mr. Goldberg has chosen to set his production in the post-WWII 1940’s, a time when women were striving to retain the freedoms they had gained during the war and a time when soldiers who had returned home were trying to find their way in an ever-changing world. The lovers and the workmen find themselves lost in the traveling carnival world of the fairies, inhabited by a fire-breathing Puck who helps turn their lives upside-down.
