Theatre Under the Stars presents this musical based on The Wizard of Oz, the ever-delightful story of a girl who gets whisked away from the dusty land of Kansas into the wonderful world of Oz, where she befriends the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly lion. A whimsical musical that in many ways remains faithful to the original story, The Wiz takes us on a whirlwind of adventures with a vivacious twist. Music and lyrics are by Charlie Smalls, with a Book by William F. Brown. Songs include “I Was Born on the Day Before Yesterday,” “Don’t Nobody Bring Me No Bad News” and “A Brand New Day.”
