About This Show

Frankie is a waitress in a diner who seems resigned to her lot in life as a single woman. Johnny is the diner’s new short order cook who quotes Shakespeare and embraces romance. After a “one night stand,” an unlikely romance blossoms between these two lonely hearts. Can the optimistic Johnny woo the apprehensive Frankie? Will she take a chance on love or be burned by this overly ardent chef? Staged by Associate Artistic Director Jeremy B. Cohen against the strains of Debussy’s rapturous music, Terrence McNally’s Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune is a sexy and touching pas de deux. Jeremy B. Cohen directs.
