Stephen Sondheim’s musical, “Assassins” chronicles our most notable presidential assassins and would-be assassins, including John Wilkes Booth, Lynette “Squeaky” Frome, John Hinckley and Lee Harvey Oswald. Tony Award-winner Sondheim and collaborator John Weidman take a comic look at success, failure and the drive for power and celebrity in American society.
