Tick, Tick, Boom is really an autobiographical show, based on Jonathan Larson’s own struggles to create a successful and important musical. The show is all the more poignant by knowing that he did eventually achieve that goal – though he never got to see its full impact. The book, music and lyrics are by Jonathan Larson.
