About This Show

In The Fantasticks, two fathers decide they want their children — Luisa, a daydreamer with an active imagination, and Matt, a romantic — to fall in love. They decide to instigate a mock feud amongst themselves to help the cause, believing that by forbidding a relationship the children will only be encouraged to pursue each other. The fathers go as far as to hire El Gallo to stage a mock abduction of Luisa, in which Matt can become a hero and save her. After this act, Luisa and Matt fall deeply in love. But soon afterwards the children realize their parents staged the feud and their love fades away. After both have some life experiences of their own they reunite once again with much less drama.

Regular performances are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays between September 8 and September 30. There is one Thursday evening performance, September 28 at 8:00 PM. In addition, there are two Sunday matinees on September 17 and September 24 at 3:00 PM.
