An Act of Murder

Phillip Marlowe, the ex-detective is producing and directing a new movie called The Conspirators. He has called together some of Hollywood’s best known actors for the film. While performing the death scene for the new movie, the actor performing the death never recovers. Was blackmail preventing the leading man from coming forward about a behind-the-scenes affair? Were the other actors fed up with the victim’s attitude towards her co-stars? It’s up to Phillip Marlowe to sort out the facts.
