About the Show

Based on the popular comic strip, Annie, Jr. is the story of a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil plans; befriends President Franklin Roosevelt; and finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. This classic story is told with memorable characters, lavish costumes, and an unforgettable score. The cast is made up of more than 30 children, ages 8 to 15, who are enrolled in the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood’s “Broadway Actors Series” summer camp.
