Footloose the Musical
About the Show
Based on the 1984 film starring Kevin Bacon, Footloose the Musical is the story of Ren, a young man who moves with his mother from Chicago to a small farming town where the local laws include a ban on dancing. When the reverend’s rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, mayhem and dancing ensue, set to the rockin’ rhythms of the Oscar-nominated score in this modern day Romeo and Juliet storyline.
The Broward Center and Parker Playhouse are hosting a "Kick Off Your Sunday Shoes" fundraiser at all performances of Footloose. Guests will be able to donate new shoes to "Shoes for the Soul," a local organization that collects and distributes donated new shoes to disadvantaged families.
