Valley Song

Award-winning playwright and poet Athol Fugard’s tale of a young girl and her grandfather, both facing an unknown future in post-Apartheid South Africa. Veronica dreams of leaving her small town to become a famous singer in Johannesburg, but her grandfather Oupa fears losing her. Each is worried that Veronica’s yearning for an exciting future may entirely cut the ties to her past.
