Southern Comforts
$40.00
Some people need continuous change in order to feel vital and alive. Others are terrified of unsettling the peace that they have established. Kathleen Clark’s play, Southern Comforts, takes a widow and widower and provides them with the opportunity to meet later in life and find a way into each other’s hearts.
Penny Fuller and William Biff McGuire, the show’s leading actors, perform excerpts in a sneak preview and discuss their creative process along with Ms. Clark, Judith Ivey (the director) and Andrew Leynse (Primary Stages’ artistic director). Anna Becker, The Playhouse’s theater consultant, moderates the Q&A after the presentation; a reception with the artists follows.
