About the Show

A singing stream of human experience; a period of 16 hours at a hotel, captured in a single evening. Small details overlap and interweave, creating an exhilarating collage of words, voices, music, and movement. Hotel: Eight Rooms is fabulous voyeurism set to music. The Yale Cabaret launches the first American production of this contemporary jazz opera.

Lyrics by Caryl Churchill, Music by Orlando Gough.
