Buffalo Gal

Square One Theatre ends its 16th Anniversary Season with a romantic comedy, Buffalo Gal, from one of the theater’s favorite playwrights, A.R. Gurney. This hilarious and often touching new play concerns a fading actress who travels to her hometown of Buffalo to star in a local production of The Cherry Orchard. Gurney’s incisive wit and flawless characterization once again prove that he knows the WASP milieu better than any other contemporary playwright. Peggy Nelson, an audience favorite and a Square One Theatre Subscriber Award-winning actress, plays the title role.
