About This Show

Although Joe Piscopo is known for his great stand-up comedy and his work in television (Saturday Night Live), film and theater, he also has another talent. He can sing the songs of Sinatra like nobody else — other than the original of course. Joe Piscopo brings his smooth Sinatra songs, along with comedy sprinkled throughout, to The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and the Performing Arts.

For almost 20 years, Joe Piscopo has proven to be one of show business’s brightest lights. After stints as a disc jockey (playing a whole lot of Frank Sinatra, we can presume) and dinner-theater performer, he turned to comedy, landing in 1980 on the one-and-only Saturday Night Live. By the time he left the show in 1985, Joe had made his mark, thanks to his wide range of hilarious original characters and impersonations, namely Frank Sinatra, who repeatedly acknowledged his enjoyment of seeing himself as Joe saw him (maybe Frank even got some tips).

Piscopo recently won acclaim for his dramatic guest-starring roles on the NBC drama, Law and Order. He has also been on the HBO series Arli$$, as well the Nickelodeon comedy series The 1000 Deeds of Eddie McDowd (his voice), and yes, that was Joe as Santa Claus in the ABC special Dear Santa. However, on stage, crooning Sinatra, he is even better.
