Hobey Ford and his Golden Rod Puppets, with a special new production of Animalia, explore the world of animals through movement, music and visually stunning puppetry. Winner of puppetry’s highest honor, the UNIMA Citation of Excellence, and recipient of three Jim Henson Foundation Grants, Hobey Ford is universally known for his brilliance in puppetry performance and craft. He adapts folk tales from various cultures for many of his performances, always adding a special Golden Rod twist. Ford uses his own voice to create his characters and provide the sound effects; he also designs and constructs all of his puppets.
