Set in the 1950’s when father knew best, Elvis was King and the New York Yankees were the undisputed champions of America’s favorite pastime (winning 8 pennants and 6 World Series), Damn Yankees is a simple Faustian tale about a man who sells his soul to the devil for a chance to be what he’s always wanted: an American hero, a baseball star. But he finds the dream realized is nothing compared to the power of true love and the depth of joy that only home can provide. The fame he achieves is empty when compared to what he’s left behind.
