Something’s Afoot is a zany, entertaining musical that takes a satirical poke at Agatha Christie mysteries and spoofs all things detective.
Ten people, all stereotypically British, have been summoned to the isolated island estate of Lord Dudley Rancour, somewhere in the English Lake District. A sudden raging thunderstorm knocks out the bridge and all communication with the outside world, leaving the survivors to fend for themselves. When the wealthy lord is found dead, it’s a race against the clock to find out who committed the crime. As the group tries to discover which one of them is the murderer, they are killed off by varied and interesting means as rising floodwaters and power failures complicate the situation. Suspenseful and totally entertaining, Something’s Afoot is a ridiculously funny whodunit. David Perkovich directs.
The show stars Iris Lieberman, Susie McMonagle, Don Forston, Liz Pazik, McKinley Carter, Jim Rank, Michael Accardo, Jon Cunningham, Roger Anderson, and Mark Mahallak.
