Factory Theatre presents the Toronto premiere of Claudia Dey’s Trout Stanley, a startling tragi-comic play by its young and talented playwright-in-residence, Claudia Dey. Directed by the award-winning Eda Holmes, the production features the stellar cast of Michelle Giroux, Melody Johnson and Gord Rand.
In a remote cabin on the outskirts of a mining town somewhere between Misery Junction and Grizzly Alley in northern B.C., we find Grace and Sugar Ducharme – twins though they look nothing alike – and a travel-worn stranger, Trout Stanley, who may or may not be connected to the disappearance of the local stripper/Scrabble champion.
