Journey’s End

About the Show

Since its first performance, Journey’s End has been celebrated for its ability to show us a side of war so rarely portrayed. Here is a world where domestic order might just hold off the chaos on the other side of the trench; where shattered illusions rest side by side with the need to find one dry sock; where heroes drink whiskey and have nightmares but still lead and fulfill their “duty.” Just off in the distance is a world we can’t conceive of, but one we begin to understand through the eyes of Stanhope, the haunted young leader, Osborne, his loyal friend and captain, and Raleigh, the idealistic new recruit.
