About the Show

Arthur Miller’s mature masterpiece, After the Fall is located in the stark landscape of the American psyche. Darkened by the shadow of the Holocaust and the McCarthy trials, Miller’s leading character, Quentin, is a brilliant lawyer whose history often reflects Miller’s own. He puts himself and his society on trial in his struggle to find a love that is not bondage, and peace that accepts the darkness of human nature. All the people important to Quentin testify to his triumphs and failures while he continues to search for a “saving grace” beyond the pain of existence.
