About the Show

Trapped in a sleepy garrison town and longing to return to the big-city life they led in Moscow, Chekhov’s immortal Olga, Irina, and Masha vividly reflect how our desperation for change is simply the flip side of our urgent need to hold on to what we have. The 1901 masterpiece that signaled the birth of modern drama, The Three Sisters is a romantic, moving work about longing and lost opportunities, provincialism and passion. Carey Perloff directs this translation by Paul Schmidt.

There are additional performances on Wednesday, May 28 and Wednesday, June 4 at 2pm; and Sunday, May 18 at 7:30.
The performance on Tuesday, May 20 is at 7pm.
