Tear Down the House Party
About the Show
On Saturday, May 22, Venue 9 will host its last event at 252 Ninth Street
in San Francisco’s South of Market district. The party will feature
comedians, spoken word artists, musicians and all the characters that
define the Venue 9 experience. Plus, dj Puss Puss will be spinning for
your dancing pleasure on the main stage. Performers from Venue 9’s
eight-year history will return to pay their final respects and give tribute
to this venerable venue that is being torn down to make way for a new
office building.
Footloose looks back and celebrates the maverick spirit of the independent
arts scene. This grand finale is Footloose’s thank you to the Bay Area for
supporting Venue 9 and the many incredible artists that graced its stage.
Doors open at 9:30 p.m. and the party continues until the last person
leaves.
