Talking With Angels

Gitta Mallasz’s diary Talking with Angels is the true story of one woman’s attempt to rescue her three Jewish friends and over 100 women and children from deportation during the 1944 Nazi occupation of Hungary. By sheltering them in a sweatshop producing military uniforms under the protection of the Catholic Church she was successful in saving almost all of the workers. Woven into her story are the thought provoking and philosophical dialogues that the four friends had with numinous forces who appeared to them as angels. Robin Fontaine directs.
