So Human an Animal

So Human an Animal is a performance art and duet dance about human consciousness in love and war. The program includes pieces titled, Cocytus, A Long Way to Go and The Shot Heard around the World.

The dance duet with Liliana Cattaneo and Sarah Keeney centers on creative movement vocabulary with a unique use of original props and an imaginative set design. Special props for this concert include a 44 gallon trash can filled with water, 50 helium balloons and a ten-foot black dress that will yield more than a few surprises. Through the controlled fluidity of motion and emotion, Xdrop’s athletic and innovative style is charged with a combination of sound and imagery with live text by Cattaneo plus select pre-recorded music by The Coma Lilies, Angelo Badalamenti, Tool, Ani Difranco and Mogwai.
