About the Show

FOOTLOOSE presents SF BOYLESQUE: Where Boys Can Be Boys.

Cory McDaniel, the creator and producer of SF BOYLESQUE, envisions an all male
revue to move gay entertainment beyond the milieu of lip-synching, hausfrau dressing,
and denigrating drag queens. Cory writes sidesplitting sketch comedy depicting teen
boy slumber parties, a gorilla loose in a banana cream pie factory, an island tribal
melodrama, a Greek myth inspired by playwright/screenwriter Charles Busch’s over
the top style, evident in Vampire Lesbians of Sodom and Die Mommie Die! Other
influences include new circus, vintage burlesque, The Chameleon Theatre in Berlin, and Trannyshack in San Francisco.
