About the Show

Cirque Éloize’s electrifying production of Rain storms the Curran Theatre as part of the 2005-2006 Best of Broadway season. The show replaces the previously announced Shining City. Rain is written and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, founder of Teatro Sunil. It draws on childhood memories blending dance, theater, daring stunts and humor, appealing to children and adults alike.

Rain, created by the world-renowned Cirque Éloize troupe, presents a phenomenal stage event filled with spectacular visual effects, imaginative movement, magical feats of skill, and much anticipated precipitation. The Quebec-based ensemble combines technical brilliance and elegant artistry transporting audiences back in time where each nostalgic vignette and touching moment fuses into one breathtaking scene after another. Cirque Éloize elevate the circus art form by infusing a theatrical perspective and narrative to the performance. Every performer is an individual – each character has a personality that contributes to the story.
