Worn out by decades of fame, and chased by the IRS, the Countess Katya Smirnoff-Skyy fled NYC in 1991 in search of a quite, semi-charmed kind of life. Taking up residence on the sleepy banks Lake Washington, Katya wittingly finds herself at the center of a musical revolution. Neighbor to Kurt Cobain, diction coach to Celine Dion, and muse of Lilith Fair, Katya worked selflessly behind the scenes to shape a sound that defined a generation. “Ironically” her story has never been told … until now.

Drawing upon the music of Nirvana, Semisonic, the Spice Girls and more, this show will take you back to a time when “groove was in the heart”, streets were paved in plaid flannel, and no one dared to destroy your sweater.
