John Muir’s Mountain Days chronicles the passionate, turbulent, and glorious life of John Muir from his youth in Scotland and Wisconsin, to his arrival at the bustling wharves of San Francisco in 1868, to his battles to preserve the Yosemite and Hetch Hetchy valleys in the Sierras. The musical also explores the passionate relationship between Muir and his fiery, fiercely independent wife, Louie Strentzel Muir. The show features an original score by composer Craig Bohmler and lyrics by Tony-nominated playwright Mary Bracken Philips. It is based on a concept by Richard Elliot.
