Another American: Asking and Telling

Russell Garrett stars in Mark Wolf’s critically acclaimed one-man show Another American: Asking and Telling. The show was created from dozens of interviews with current and former servicemen and women conducted by Marc Wolf over a three year period regarding the issue of gays in the military and specifically the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Wolf tape-recorded, transcribed, and edited these interviews into monologues using the interviewees’ own words to construct the text of the play. With humor, insight and compassion, these monologues represent a wide variety of viewpoints, experiences, and deeply held beliefs that give a voice and humanity to those who have been silenced.

On Wednesday, November 12 at 7 pm there will be a special benefit performance for the Serviceman’s Legal Defense Fund.
