Weed Shop the Musical

Weed Shop the Musical is a new work written by Becca Grumet & Madelyne Heyman. Set in Los Angeles, the story follows Alicia, a fresh-faced medical marijuana doctor, and Dave, a dispensary owner, as they search for 420-friendly love in a judgmental world. Meanwhile, Dave’s ill-informed ex girlfriend Stephanie is prepared to do anything it takes to get revenge, while his coworker, Kyle, struggles to keep the dispensary afloat amidst the high-jinks her friend keeps getting himself into. Through tongue-in-cheek, funny, and heartfelt songs like “I Believe in Weed,” “Stoners in Love,” and “You Can Store Your Weed in my Heart,” the show is surely a celebration of the stoner. However, Weed Shop isn’t just for marijuana enthusiasts, it’s for everyone – touching on universally comedic and heartwarming themes of love, self-expression, and identity.
