Doug Cooney and David O’s family musical The Very Persistent Gappers of Frip follows the townspeople of the small seaside town of Frip. They make a living raising goats, but are constantly fighting off the daily invasion of the gappers — bright orange, shrieking creatures that love to attach themselves to goats, which stops the flow of goat milk. When the not-too-bright gappers abruptly decide to focus solely on the goats of one goat yard, the plucky heroine, Capable, seeks help from her neighbors who selfishly turn her away. With resourcefulness and compassion, Capable teaches herself, her father and her neighbors the true meaning of community.
