The Savannah Option

A bittersweet love story set on the campus of a small Georgia University, The Savannah Option is a two-character play about a Professor of Biology (she) and a Lecturer in Poetry (he) who find themselves falling in love during heady discussions about science and literature. The problem is he’s married and she’s his wife’s colleague and best friend. What happens to their relationship over the passage of four seasons, as they prepare meals together and verbally spar with one another, is the heart of the piece.
