The Loves of Shakespeare’s Women

Internationally acclaimed film, stage, and television actress Susannah York will make a rare Los Angeles stage appearance this February with her solo show The Loves of Shakespeare’s Women. Conceived and adapted by Ms. York, the show was inspired by John Gielgud’s one-man show The Ages of Man. York thought: “Why not an Ages of Women? Passionate women, comic women. Subtle, savage, submissive or scheming women. Young, old, jovial, grieving women.” Familiar themes emerged when she delved into Shakespeare’s canon.
