The Heiress

The Heiress is the story of Catherine, a painfully shy, awkward, and plain young lady. When a handsome and charming (but poor) young man (Morris) turns his attention to her, the buzz begins again. Is he a fortune hunter, or is he truly in love? Catherine’s domineering and manipulative father is convinced her lover Morris is only after her money. The power struggle between father and daughter plays itself out over the course of two and a half years. As the battle progresses, Catherine becomes a strong, mature woman.
