New York City
Jesse Morgan returns to New York City 18 years after absconding with cash from his employer. Now very rich, he stays in a suite in the luxurious Knickerbocker Arms, and calls together several “friends” from his past, including his ex-wife, his ex-best friend, his former employer, and a streetperson. He offers $2 million to two of them, but there’s a catch. The “friends” have to select which two of them receive the money. And most of them hate each other.
The situation is turned topsy turvy when an unexpected person suddenly shows up in the midst of the group deciding who gets the money.
Written by Art Shulman (The Rabbi & The Shiksa, Boxcar & Eugenia, Sex Is Good For You), Directed by Kristina Lloyd (Endgame).
COMMENTS ABOUT ART SHULMAN AS A WRITER
“Art Shulman is a first rate playwright whose work engages and entertains even as it posits profound insights into the nature of women and men. His characters are palpable and fleshy; he has a marvelous ear for dialogue that is cool, crisp, brittle, seductive, and unforgettable.”
– Richard Walter, Chair, UCLA Graduate Screenwriting program
“Art Shulman is the Neil Simon of the San Fernando Valley”
– Ken Rotcop, master writing teacher and best-selling author on screenwriting
