Stand Up Guys

In Stand Up Guys , Matt and Jeff are two down and out comics who have been paying their dues at a local New York comedy club as they struggle to “pass” and become regulars. An unlikely friendship emerges as the comedians go to the front lines together to battle common enemies: other comics, club owners, indifferent audiences and themselves. Beyond this point, each man searches to find himself amid a competative and unforgiving world where a comic is only as good as his last set. The question arises then, is it the “funniest” comic that makes it or simply the last man standing? This is a new play by Robert Maschio and directed by Michael Jaeger.
