After delivering the fateful words, “Please sir, I want some more,” Oliver is swept into the underbelly of London by thieves and scoundrels. But good people emerge to rescue him from a life of crime and squalor. Oliver premiered on Broadway in 1963 with hits such as “Where is Love,” “As Long As He Needs Me,” “Consider Yourself,” and “Food Glorious Food.”
