About the Show

North Beach opens during the teenage years of four friends: Red, Patrick, Butch and Josie. They find their world shattered when Josie announces that her family is moving to another state. The three boys remain close friends after Josie’s departure, and the audience will join them in the present as adults on the day she returns to town. What follows is a life-drama that exposes each character to the bone as they work through the old rivalries and emotions that were lost in the gap during which Josie was gone. The drama of the play is well-offset by humor throughout, and a twist in the end completes this story of friendship, family, love, and how easy it is to forget that the most basic human experience is also the most important. North Beach is directed by Taylor Nichols and written by Bill Swadley.
