EGO NWODIM recently concluded a seven-year tenure on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, during which she created several viral moments including the iconic “Miss Eggy” and “Lisa from Temecula,” establishing herself as a groundbreaking voice in comedy and earning NAACP nominations in both 2024 and 2025 for her work on the show.
This past summer, Ego wrapped LITTLE BROTHER for Netflix opposite Eric Andre and John Cena, and is set to recur in Mindy Kaling’s NOT SUITABLE FOR WORK series for Hulu. She can also be seen in season 2 of POKER FACE on Peacock, IT’S FLORIDA, MAN on HBO Max, and in Jeff Baena’s SPIN ME ROUND, opposite Allison Brie, Alessandro Nivola, and Aubrey Plaza. She also appears in the film LYLE LYLE CROCODILE for Sony, directed by Speck & Gordon, alongside Javier Bardem and Constance Wu. Ego can also be seen in the Netflix romantic comedy PLAYERS with Gina Rodriguez, Damon Wayans Jr. and Tom Ellis.
Ego also appears in the second season of HBOMax’s LOVE LIFE opposite William Harper Jackson, the Apple anthology series ROAR, written by GLOW’s Carly Mensch and Liz Flahive, and the fourth season of the HBO Max series MIRACLE WORKERS. Other credits of hers include Hulu’s SHRILL, IFC’s BROCKMIRE, and THE BROKEN HEARTS GALLERY.
Her podcast, THANKS DAD, currently on its second season, was featured as one of Spotify’s best new shows of 2024 and won the 2025 Ambie award for Best Interview Podcast. She is a fan favorite and regular on the Comedy Bang Bang Podcast. Ego was recognized by Variety as part of their 2021 New York Women’s Impact Report. She recently co-hosted 2025’s Met Gala red carpet presented by Vogue.
Ego is set to debut a solo comedy show Off-Broadway. It will be part of LCT3 and Seaview’s upcoming The Comedy Series Off-Broadway, a series of live comedy shows from notable comedians. Nwodim’s show, to be directed by Zhailon Levingston (Cats: The Jellicle Ball), will perform November 19-23 at Lincoln Center’s Claire Tow Theater.
Prior to SNL, she was mainstage at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles and performed as a New Face at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal in 2016. She was also featured in the 2016 CBS Diversity Showcase. Her first ever one-woman show, GREAT BLACK WOMEN…AND THEN THERE’S ME had a sold out run in 2017 at the UCB Theatre in Los Angeles.
