About the Show
Based on the award-winning book by Emily Arnold McCully, this new family musical makes its West Coast Premiere. Set in the colorful world of 1890s Paris, the young Mirette lives in her mother’s boarding house which caters to music hall acrobats, jugglers, actors, opera singers and mimes. A mysterious stranger arrives?he is the great Bellini, a master high wire walker. Mirette begs him to teach his skill to her, but it is she who must teach him courage once again. With book by Elizabeth Diggs, the music is by Harvey Schmidt and lyrics are provided by Tom Jones and Jerry Ross.
