What if women, children, and disillusioned veterans of all countries challenged their governments to create equality among all the people in the world and cease making war forever? The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum looks at just how this might be accomplished when it presents Lysistrata 2003, freely adapted from Aristophanes’ classic by Ellen Geer, with original music by Tom Allard, Peter Alsop, Melora Marshall and Ellen Geer.
Performances take place Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., July 12 through August 9; Sundays at 7:30 p.m., July 13 through August 10 and September 7 through 28; and Saturday matinees at 3:00 p.m, August 23 & 30, and October 4 through 18.
