Matt and Cass should be really happy. They have a newborn baby and a beautiful house in Big Sur overlooking the ocean but something seems off. Matt, a successful college professor who almost always knows how to get what he wants, feels lost as a father and Cass, a dancer suddenly feels off balance. A late-night knock at the door brings Kostya, Matt's estranged best friend college roommate and his mystical young girlfriend from Mexico. Soon, the foursome initiate a terrifying game that threatens to topple their sense of reality.
